“We can’t stress how vital it is to make space for the perspectives and stories of asylum seekers, refugees and migrant experience in mainstream film—and the best people to tell that story are those who’ve lived it. Through listening to those with lived experience and producing Matar as a case study, we’ve developed the best way to make that happen.”
